1Up and PSM3 Cover

Well today is the day for our big Press event in Los Angeles. Lots of new info will be released this week, specially on friday! Be sure to check out the week long feature on 1Up.com

Here is also another great cover by Andy Park featured on PSM3 which is comming out in Europe. The blog post is written in French so check out the translation courtesy of Anonymous below:
"Had some time left the land of the blog, it seems clear now it was for good cause. We were in search of the new god of the PS3. In total exclusivity for Europe and France in front with Game Informer, it is in Santa Monica that we could take the beast in hand. The result is up to our wildest expectations. Plus a game is a real myth is revealed for the first time. For this reason, we decided to reveal some secrets of the Gods preview with bonus exclusive coverage of the next issue. From chaos comes beauty, revenge comes immortality ...As our American friends did not deny to reveal the God of War, so here is the next cover of PSM3 number which will be released on February 21 on newsstands. Go east as hot as the coals can already tell you that the game displays a big fifteen enemies on screen and that the confrontation ahead already a mix of violent défouloir and technical mastery. You may also tremble with the pleasure of taking control of Cyclops in battle for all-practical-and devastate saliva in advance with new types of gameplay a bit more "tactical group". That you can not tell you for now because you will soon find our 10 pages of info in all good butchers near you. Pending: the game may be with you! "

PSM3 has published the first details on Dante's Inferno, which the mag bills as 'God of War meets Dead Space'.

As previously reported, Dante's Inferno is being developed by Dead Space dev EA Redwood Shores. It's a third person action game that tells the tale of Dante and his journey through the twisted, menacing nine circles of hell in pursuit of his beloved Beatrice.

"Button-for-button the controls are identical to GOW's - from using the right stick to evade, to regular and heavy attacks being mapped to Square and Triangle," says PSM3.

"Holding R1 and pressing Square lets you knock enemies into the air Devil May Cry-style and keep them hovering with a volley of rapid, light attacks," it adds.

Combos are "easily strung together by simple presses of the light and heavy attack buttons".

"When enemies die they leave behind health and magic orbs, which can also be found in chests, opened by holding Circle," says the preview.

The game also uses QTE events, such as when Dante climbs the mane of a 20-foot monster to take out the demon rider and assume control of the beast for himself.

@Anonymous: That article about Dante's Inferno got passed around here at the office this morning. Is flattering to hear that they are using God of War as a reference for their game. It sounds like they are fans as well. I look forward to seeing some gameplay footage, maybe even a demo at E3!

@ Bruno:

lol, thanks for the response Bruno.
Hope your Press event went good. :)

So, No trailer today?

Hey,whats up Bruno?

Anyways, How is the press event going?

How are the audiences' reactions to the footage?

Anonymous said...

Friday 13, is when we get the info on GOW3

Anonymous said...

Hey Bruno, while you are waiting for gameplay for Dante's Inferno, I'll be waiting for more GOW III info. Oh and just to clear things up, the second translation I put up was actually one someone else did. Should have made that clear. Sorry.

Oh and I also made a real account. So that I can keep track of my own posts.

Will we be getting ANY INFO AT ALL today? Or just Friday?

Im impressed that nothing is leaking on to the internet today. Unless you guys did not show much today. SCEA got tight internal controls on this ish! :(

jeez vengeance how many times do you have to comment on this blog...i recommend a life

Jaffe and Barlog sound disappointed that the story did not go to what they revously visioned . I have a bad feeling about this.

@Anonymous: If they wanted their version of the game to be implemented so badly, they should have stayed. I, for one, am excited about a new way to envision God of War.

It's the same people, just with a slightly different ending ( I'm assuming of course) We kill some bosses, throw Zeus off his throne, everyone is happy.

On a somewhat related note, I heard we'd wait until Friday, but I thought that was for the magazines, not the info itself!

i hope we won't experience the same disappointment like the first time they showed the teaser where most was underwhelmed after so much hype about it. I hope to see in all forums, blogs, etc. happiness, satisfaction and excitement this Friday the 13th.

Hey guys. The event went very well today; unfortunately the info will not be out until Friday. All I can say is that there will be plenty to talk about, and read about, and look at, by the end of this week. Thanks for staying tuned

sweet, thanks for the link lalapin
and cant wait for Friday too!

I finally get where you're coming from. I mean, if I traveled all the way to the other side of the country, I would wait to have other people see the info.

It's only fair. I guess I got caught up in my own desire to see info on a GAME, I kinda forgot what it would be like if you got "exclusive info" on anything, and then have it out to the public on the same day. :/

Anonymous said...

Wow... right after posting my comment I realized that there were the scans for the magazine. I don't know whether to be happy or disappointed.

Disappointed not by the article or the graphics, but that these people just couldn't retain the info for a few more days. It must suck trying to keep such amazing info from being leaked. But it's impossible.

Sorry for them ruining the fun Bruno ;_;

Oh and the graphics look AMAZING from what I saw. It's not even Alpha yet! O.O Keep it up man. I saw a new bow... did you animate that one as well? XD

Anonymous said...

according to the article the new bow doesn't use magic.

Anonymous said...

Getting to fight Hades, sounds pretty awesome.

Anonymous said...

Why less boss fights? With the new hardware you would expect there to be more.

On a lighter side, it sounds like they are really stepping this one up. A boss fight with Hades sounds real *****ing awesome.

Bruno Velazquez said...

@EDK1010: I am actually not upset that the article was leaked, I feel bad for the guys at GI however. As far as I am concerned, and I speak for the team as well, friday cannot come soon enough since we want to hear all the impressions and feedback from the Press and more importantly, you the FANS! Oh, by the way, I did animate the Bow once again.

Anonymous said...

Holy crap I am getting good at this! I must be a lucky guesser or something! O.O

Good to hear you're not upset though...

I also was able to read about Kratos scaling the titan. If that's true, I think people could finally shut up about the graphics. Sounds great!

Can't wait man.

Anonymous said...

Bruno Velazquez, you rock!!!

Anonymous said...

Cant wait!!!

Anonymous said...

what time will the info be posted friday?

Anonymous said...

Friday at 9:00 AM PST

Anonymous said...

Wow. 9 am? that is literally 30 minutes after I go to school for the day!

It can wait though lol. But Bruno you can bet I will have a lot of feedback for you. ( I post like a hundred times here anyway ) So be prepared...

Anonymous said...

Friday at 9:00 AM PST ?

What is that in Eastern Time?

Anonymous said...

Was gameinformer at the event or did they have the info already, they seemed to have the info out and published pretty quickly.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous

To convert PST to EST, all you have to do is add three hours.

So 12:00 AM (NOON)

Anonymous said...

Oh, just noticed it was in Pacific Time. Kind of feel of stupid. Oh well lol.

Bruno Velazquez said...

@Anonymous: Game Informer got to visit us long before the Press event so they had more time to write and prepare the article. What they saw and wrote about is actually different than the stuff that we showed at the Press release. You will read about it soon...........

Anonymous said...

WHAT?!?!?!?! O_O

I'm hyperventilating

That means with would see more than we expected

Thanks for the update Bruno.
