ready to show you guys something cool.
GOW2 Ending gods- Zeus-guy with white beard, Hades- guy with helmet
and horns, Hermes- guy with Flaming head, Poseidon- Brown hair and
facial hair, Helios- the guy with laurels in his head (If you guys looks closely
you will see that the Colossus boss from GOW2 is actually a statue of Helios, the sun god!)
Atlantis/Hades- I cannot talk about details when it comes to locations of the game
but you guys are right about "depths".
Voice casting for GOW3 on IMDB- Voice actors change all the time so nothing on that list is
final or accurate.
Trivium song- Sweet band, awesome song, not in the game. We will stay true to original
GOW soundtrack. The will be a seperate Metal Soundtrack which should be really awesome!
Sixaxis- If it gets used it will be in a manner that makes sense and works for the game.
We will never put it in, or be forced to put it, if it means it will hurt the game in any way.
Making of Documentary- Yes, we are making one. If you bet the GOW3 demo from the Distric 9 bundle you will unlock an exclussive making of GOW3 documentary.
Alpha/Beta stages- Can't say exactly were we are but we are in really good shape as Stig
mentioned.
Enemy Variety- We will have a nice a variety of enemies. We are actually having a hard time getting them all placed around the game.
How does Kratos reach the gods? Sorry you are going to have to wait and find out for yourself!
How long is the game?- About 10 hrs for hradcore gamers, 20 for casual.
Game Cover- None of the game covers shown so far are the final and oficial covers.

When Bruno looks at this blog, do you think he wants to see people bitching about no information? He can't do anything about that; there is a PR schedule. It will just make him regret communicating with fans directly.

Uncharted 2 looks a lot better.
Yes Uncharted 2 looks very beautiful ,but GOW3 from the Gamepro screens looks at least on par or even better than U2.Kratos model is the best in-game model I ever seen and this is even not the final version of the game.

Uncharted 2 is an amazing looking game. It has really set the bar for all PS3 games. Everyone at the office is playing it and we are very inspired by what Naughty Dog has done. It is making us work harder to make GOW3 as good as possible. you guys know.
There are many things that still need to be optimized
Kratos' brother? I assume he's going to show up at some point during the game. I noticed you're rewarded a trophy for watching "The Birth of the Beast" in the first game. Why would they give you a trophy for watching that particular video if they aren't trying to make sure that everyone is aware that Kratos has a brother who is seeking revenge on him? He's gotta show up in III.
went through a couple pages of the forum and didn't see any new topics about this so i thought i'd ask what your opinions were.
Well,Kratos will have a travel to Underworld once again to kill Hades,so maybe he will meet his brother,but I don't think he will have major role in the 3rd part.
However I still think he will not show up in GOW3,but this is just my thoughts...

If he's a boss I hope he shows up repeatedly throughout the game to mess with Kratos like the Tyrant from Resident Evil 3, or Nero Angelo from Devil May Cry.

The "more coming" almost definitely refers to game studios. I don't know how else you could interpret it.

To the guy(s) whining repeatedly about how the game isn't getting enough hype compared to Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno:
There were already 3 very successful games in the GOW franchise. It's not starting out at the same hype level as Bayonetta or DI. It's already above that. And even though fans really want more info now, there's no point in starting massive hype when it's still almost 4 months away from release.
Very few PS3 owners are going to buy Dante's Inferno and NOT GOWIII. That would be insane. And Bayonetta isn't a direct competitor because it's a very different game, despite being in the same genre.
Maybe you're just trying to goad the developers into releasing something by pointing out how bad their sales will be if they don't show you a new trailer right now. I'm sure you understand the business better than them /sarcasm.

Not surprised at all. The combat in Bayonetta is probably the deepest yet in the genre. Or at least has the most combos.
Fortunately GOW's focus isn't on having the best combat, but the best overall experience. In terms of presentation and story, it will blow away Bayonetta (and every other Japanese action game, frankly).
The last ( and only ) trailer is 10 months old and we didn't see anything except the E3 level ( they have been showing the exact same level since February, they didn't even make a new demo for the TGS ... ) and some random screens.
The demo would have been a good idea if it wasn't the level that they showed to us in February ( screens ) and in all the video games event like E3, GamesCom, TGS ... When I played it I already knew what's gonna happen, no surprise. Plus it's an old build so we don't know how does the game look and play today.
What the hell ? Where's the hype ? Where are the information about the game ? Where are the videos / trailers / screens ?
They seem to forget that GoW III won't be the only beat them all in Q1 2010, there are also Darksiders, Dante's Inferno and Bayonetta.
Sony isn't listed for the Video Game Awards 2009 so we won't see anything new there.
I'm really disappointed by the lack of medias and information. It's 99% sure that the game will be excellent ( it's my most anticipated game for 2010 ), but it's not a reason.

I understand your concern over lack of media for this game compared to other games, but let's look at it compared to its own prequel, GOW2.
Based on the dates on gametrailers.com, the vast majority of promotional material for the game was released in January 2007. That's 2 Months before launch. The earliest trailer was shown at GDC in April 2006. The only footage shown between April 2006 and Jan 2007 was a trailer in September 2006, which looks like it was just thrown together and had a lot of the same stuff as the first trailer.
Stig has said that they keep on tweaking things in the game until just before it ships, which leads me to believe they are not the kind of studio who is comfortable just showing whatever they're working on at the time. It might change, so they don't want to make promises by showing things in trailers.
We should be grateful for their perfectionism. If they aren't ready to show something, then I'll live with that, knowing they care a great deal about their work.
Corrections to the above: They showed the majority of footage from January onward, including Feb and March.
And there was also an E3 demo, from which much footage was captured.
But my point still stands that so far GOW3 has been no less promoted than GOW2.
It'll be a damn shame if we have to wait until January to see more, but whenever we do, I hope they don't show way too much.
I'm well aware about the media from GOW2 and GOW1.I'm following gow since part 1.
But,now the times are different .Now there is more competition,now big games are promoted months before the game release.This is the way things work 2009 and 2010;)
For me it doesn't matter if the trailer is released decemeber ,january or february .I will buy the game.In fact I will buy two copies-one normal and one ultimate edition.The trailer is more for the people which forgetting who is king(god:)) of the action adventure genre and think that Bayonetta,Dante's inferno,Darksiders and etc. can overshadow GOW3 .
I want the trailer because I'm curious how the game progresses ,I'm sure there is a lot differences compared to the E3 build ;) I'm just impatient :)

I would actually say the genre has shrunk since the days of the original God of War, which launched shortly after DMC3. Those were also the days of Ninja Gaiden and maybe one of the Onimusha sequels. The competition in the genre of late has been bad GOW-clones like Conan and only recently have real contenders emerged like DMC4 (which was somewhat disappointing) and Bayonetta and Dante's Inferno (which is practically a direct copy).
God of War did fine back then and it will do fine now because it LOOKS the best and has the MOST ACCESSIBLE combat, which is a recipe for greater mainstream success.
I maintain that you are just looking for excuses to justify your impatience and you're trying to persuade the devs that they're going to lose sales.
Why do you care about sales anyway? It's an exclusive, so it may sell worse than Dante's Inferno, and even though that would be unfair, what does it have to do with whether GOW3 is great and you enjoy it?
Like I said, you and other people here are trying to push the devs' buttons in the hopes that they'll break down and release a trailer right away so they don't lose any more fan support. It's not going to work, is my guess.

Hey Bruno just one quick question on animation, how successful has designing posidents minoins been. I rembered in Feburary an article said that they would be insect like beings with water flowing under their translucent skin and I was wondering how realistic they look or if this idea has gotten scraped.
