So it seems like some more info about Gow3 is beginning to slowly creep out. First we had Jaffe's comments on his blog as well as on Kotaku and now the Spike Tv 2008 VGA announcement of a exclusive first reveal. Well I can say that Dave Jaffe did indeed check out the game at the office. I never really had too many chances to work directly with him since I joined Sony during GOW2 (by then Cory had taken over as the director of the God of War franchise) but it is good to hear that he had some positive comments in regards to the third game.
In regards to the Spike Tv event, all I can say right now is that I feel pretty good about what we are going to show. I really wish that I can go into more detail but perhaps I can talk about it more after December 14. The flood gates of info are beginning to open..............

* The trailer that will be shown at the VGA will be 10, maybe 20 seconds max. Sucks.

* The game will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.

* Gameplay will be "somewhat the same," but with tweaks.

* There will be an online mode, which will include "Gladiator" and co-op.

@ Anonymous: I've seen some stuff that WarHawk is doing for Home, I think is a war room were player can discuss strategy before the fight. Who knows, maybe GOW 3 could have some cool Home theme rooms as well. For now we are just focusing on making the best game that we can.

Sorry I expected more from a franchise that pushed the PS2 so hard. I didn't expect it to look like the CG trailer, but I did expect more than God of War 2.5

It looked like the PS2 version. I am first and foremost a PS3 supporter and I love the GOW series, but I'm not going to sit here and lie. That didn't even look like a PS3 game. The texture on Kratos close up was super low res.
@ Chris: I just turned 18 last month! So I guess I can play God of War AS MUCH AS I LIKE! dumb f*** ! My english is just a little rusty since I'm from Denmark and doesn't speak/write english every day..
It didn't give me the wow experience but it definitely wasn't bad.
GOW 3 was fine. Just hope the story complements the gameplay.

Well, i was looking at god of war 2 videos and.... this one look better. if you pay attention, the new graphics look like the hi-def cut scenes in god of war 2, but now they are the graphics for the gameplay ( i hope i am making sense)

Yo Bruno my man, good job on the animation of the trees, i was looking at the vid that GT uploaded and man, if you paused it (cuz u guys were so cheap and that's the only way to appreciated)you can see a lot of details in the world, kratos need some work, but man the world look crazy dude.. great fucking job on that.

People are so picky nowadays...
I don't know what people are watching when they are saying the textures look bad. It's because when they see a trailer they automatically think of cutscene footage. This is gameplay footage, up close and it looks amazing.
Has anyone else then me noticed that in the last few seconds of the trailer (when the title is being shown) the "of" in God of war quickly resembles a 6. which then look like 6f.

And the thing I really admire about this trailer isn't the trailer itself, which looks amazing, but the knowledge that, if it HAD looked like complete shit, the lead designer would have done everything in his power to stop Sony from running it to avoid anyone getting the wrong idea, that's how you know this game is gunna rock.

Go to psn and watch the 1080p version if you have a ps3. The trailer shown was awesome and I'm sorry that the trailer wasn't longer than 10 seconds but they flipping pay for air time, its not free.
Towards the beginning of the new trailer Kratos does a wall run to an attack... that's awesome. I'm a huge Ninja Gaiden fan and would love to see some moves like this added.
